Learning Self-Hypnosis
Hypnotherapy is a very powerful way of achieving change in a relatively short period of time. Often a client will learn Self-Hypnosis techniques as part of their treatment as this is a valuable tool which they can use to reinforce treatment. Self-Hypnosis also allows an individual to make changes without the need to seek treatment with a therapist.
Self treatment is not appropriate for every situation as we may need a therapist to help us see what is going on at a deeper level but it can be used very effectively to:
Increase Self Confidence
Deal with Difficulties Sleeping
Reduce Nervousness about Future Events
Help you to feel Calm and in Control
Individual Classes
These are held at my Practice in Alford, Lincolnshire. Price will depend on your requirements.
Your session will start with a therapist led Hypnosis session to help you discover how hypnosis feels. We will then discuss the ways in which you can recognise that your body and mind are truly relaxed.
During your session I will introduce several techniques which can be used to relax body and mind and induce a ‘trance’ state. Initially I will guide you through the technique so that you can see how it works and then you will be able to attempt the technique without my guidance.
We will explore the best ways to phrase your suggestions as well as how you can use visualisation techniques. We will use examples which are suited to the issues you would like to work with.
We will look Self-Hypnosis techniques which require no external guidance, as well how you can make your own Self-Hypnosis recording to help you.
Participants will be given a free CD - ‘Hypnotic Relaxation’ to use at home as well as a couple of scripts to try at home.
